Jingle Bell-ROCKED It

By Abby Hamilton

Around this time, Christmas music leaks through the halls of the upper and lower school. The Christmas concerts are upon us. To most, these holiday tunes inspire the Christmas spirit. “I like the Jingle Bell Rock because it is fun,” third grader Owen Hamilton said. For the music students of both the upper and lower school, the music of the annual Christmas concert is more than just catchy lyrics.

“The music puts you in the Christmas spirit,” seventh grader Ella Hepp said. Lower school music teacher Lisa Murray and upper school music teacher RaChael Holler both work very hard all year to find the perfect cheery tunes for the concert.

The lower school music class performs at the Christmas concert.

This year, the students are performing songs such as “Angels We Have Heard on High” and other lovely ballads like “Ave Maria.” To fully understand the beauty of Christmas music, one really must grasp the meaning of the lyrics.

”My favorite part of Christmas is spending time with my family” seventh grader rating Reagan Hollenbaugh said.

All in all, the Christ Covenant School students enjoy the Christmas concerts and hope you will enjoy the show.
